This web site is for information, stories, how-to's and other things relating to my model railroad, featuring the rail lines in and around St. Johnsbury, Vermont circa 1980. The model railroad features the Maine Central, Boston & Maine, Canadian Pacific and Lamoille Valley, as well as a little bit of the Central Vermont, Grand Trunk and North Stratford Railway. Feel free to comment after each posting. Also be sure to visit my main web site located at nekrailroad.com.

Lovely tree! Add a great deal of interest and contrast to your scene.
Just stumbled across this blog--really great stuff here. I'm very much a fledgling modeler, but it looks like you and I were inspired by the same 5-6 miles of track. I grew up in Littleton (but closer to Dalton), and could hear the whistle of the train crossing the Connecticut river from Gilman to Whitefield. When I was a teenager, my friends and I would sometimes go rail-fanning in Woodsville and in Crawford Notch.
Anyhow, thank you for posting so actively. Your layout is an inspiration.
