This web site is for information, stories, how-to's and other things relating to my model railroad, featuring the rail lines in and around St. Johnsbury, Vermont circa 1980. The model railroad features the Maine Central, Boston & Maine, Canadian Pacific and Lamoille Valley, as well as a little bit of the Central Vermont, Grand Trunk and North Stratford Railway. Feel free to comment after each posting. Also be sure to visit my main web site located at nekrailroad.com.
Hi Mike: That is a nice shot taken from lower down than what I photographed at Springfield. Nice to get the shopman and lots of steam in the photo also. I realized when I got back to the motel and looked at my photos I had taken a good amount of views of your section of the modular layout...good work, wished I had met you there...George Dutka
Nice shot of Monson Railroad #3. This engine, along with its sister engine #4, are special to me because at one time they were located in a Rochester scrapyard near my home.
Thanks George and Ben. Good to know it was saved from scrapping! It was hard to get a nice shot at the show due to the people and fencing, but I like this one.
George - Maybe next year's show I'll get a chance to see you!
Very nice picture of the loco at Springfield Mike. I must have walked by it a dozen times going from building to building ( I was with the NBR&N On30 group in Mallary). Cheers.
